Last week was spectacular. I travelled with my classmate Sade Lahti to participate in the Euranim video mapping workshop in Lille in France. It was my second experience with video mapping. During the 4-day workshop we created animation to project on the wall of the Opera de Lille. The showtime of the video mapping was last Friday the 31st of March at 9PM as a part of the animation festival Fête de l’anime.

There were 50 students and professionals from Europe and Asia taking part on the workshop. My group “The Roomies” – me (Turku Arts Academy), Thomas Van Fucht (Howest), Leonardo Altieri (CSC Turin) and Elena Sorrentino (CSC Turin) – turned the Opera De Lille into a Circus themed dollhouse. I did three rooms: Cannon Lady, Clown and Lion. I worked with Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects. I really enjoyed working in this method.

The week was one to remember. Thank you Euranim and Turku Arts Academy for making it happen! P.S. You can watch the whole video mapping on this video filmed by Daniel Derg who also took part in the workshop https://youtu.be/ctMhlq-BzLo
