Happy meeting of animation alumni in Turku Arts Academy

Turku Arts Academy organized together with Coop Paperhat and Anikistit Association in Turku an animation alumni meeting at the end of October 2014. Meeting was scheduled to happen during Turku Animation Seminar (30.10.-31.10.) and of course in the year 2014 because this year we are also celebrating 100 years anniversary of Finnish animation.

About 30 alumni gathered to meet each other. Celebrations started in Turku Arts Academy with sparkling wine and speeches. Everybody was also keen to see old premises and a class room where animators have their home. Indeed the class is full of old memories and items from the past years.

First students graduated from the school in year 1998 and the last graduates were from year 2012. Almost everybody is now working in the field of animation as independent film makers or entrpreneurs, in studios like Rovio and Anima Vitae, in teaching, in illustration etc.

The party continued in Coop Paperhat studio with more speeches, with good food, drinks and dancing. And of course together with new students.
