Two Arts Academy graduates has been selected to present their projects in Euro Connection 2013
Clermont-Ferrand short film festival has invited Jupe Louhelainen, CHRZU and Elli Toivoniemi to travel in forthcoming Euro Connection (5.-6.2.2013). Finnish pre-jury selected Nightsatan and the Loops of Doom as a Finnish respresentative in Euro Connection pitching sessions. This project is presented by its producer Jupe Louhelainen from Twisted Films and director CHRZU, who graduated from Turku Arts Academy in 2004. CHRZU is known by his films Treevil (2003) and Curse of the Remote Island (2008) and he is a chairman of the animation collective Turun Anikistit.
Clermont-Ferrand also invites to France Elli Toivoniemi, who graduated as a producer from Turku Arts Academy. She has been working with Zaida Bergroth’s fiction movie The Good Son (2011).
Euro Connection is a pitching and networking event that aims at fostering partnerships between European production companies, funders and broadcasters for short film projects. Twenty projects will be presented from sixteen participating countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania and the United Kingdom.
